The Paraíso Music Festival returns for its second edition on the 12th and 13th of October, in Bilbao. Its programme, rich in local and international artists, is a perfect start to the festival season. Also with a view to reducing its ecological footprint, it will invest in large green spaces in the heart of the city. Between discoverer of new talents selected by Urko Arrismendy and international meeting place, Paraíso Festival represents better than anyone an electronic scene in Madrid full of energy.
Madrid has always had a greater musical offer. But in recent years, Bilbao has been following in the footsteps of the coastal city. “There are many promoters or collectives working very hard to bring good music to the city,” explains the promoter of Paraíso and the brain of the now deceased Benicassim International Festival, dedicated to independent pop, rock and electronic music in the early 2000s. As the local scene is more vibrant than ever, it is important for him to bring all this talent together at the same event to show his desire to shine internationally. “This is how the Bilbao scene will become bigger and stronger, hence the decision to create a workshop dedicated to local artists from the first editions.
